High Quality Care
for your pet
I grew up in Germany and decided to become a vet when I was 4 years old. In 1994 I qualified after 6 years of study in Hannover and a 6 month scholarship in Utrecht. I started work as a vet at the gynaecology department of the university of Berlin, where I also completed my doctorate.
As a child I had spent several family holidays in England and had come to love the country and its people. In 1997 I started working in a mixed practice in Cambridgeshire. A year later I met my now husband on an activity holiday in Wales and subsequently moved to Shropshire, where I worked in the small animal department of a busy mixed veterinary practice.
I joined Gladstone Veterinary Clinic in 2004. My main interests are internal medicine, cardiology and cytology. I have undertaken a 2 year modular course in internal medicine and continue to attend courses in these areas to keep up to date with current advances in veterinary medicine.
For the last three years I have been secretary of the Shropshire Veterinary Association, which organises continuous professional development for vets in Shropshire and is a regional division of the British Veterinary Association.
Outside work I play football for the Wrockwardine Wood Jack’s women’s football team. Travelling, walking, cycling, reading, good food and red wine are others of my passions. At home our cat Blackie “the monster” rules the house.
